According to the 90th Notice of 2017 released by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine recently, a total of 85 products in China including ganoderma lucidum, ganoderma lucidum spore powders and other ganoderma lucidum products of the ShouXianGu in Wuyi, and the dendrobium officinale and dendrobium officinale stem products of the ShouXianGu in Wuyi were ratified as the Protected Eco-origin Product by China. 

The ShouXianGu has become the second brand to obtain this honor in Wuyi, which is praised as the ecological and organic land, after Wu Yang Chun Yu.

The ratification indicates that ganoderma lucidum and dendrobium officinale series products of the ShouXianGu are “ecological, and high-quality”. These ratified products have intellectual property rights authorized by the Chinese government, and are protected by Chinese laws and subject to the administrative custody of Chinese government, which makes them easier to be marketed at home and aboard.

For these products to be imported or exported, the Chinese government provides green channel and preferential measures for clearance to make their clearance preferential and convenient. They may be included in the list of government procurement and granted the related policy subsidies of the nation and supporting funds of financial institutions preferentially.

Vice President XU Jing, director of quality assurance and R&D of the ShouXianGu said that the PEOPs represent the image of China as a sovereign state and are under administration protection of China and the world and it also means the protection of products Created in China and competitive products. All powerful enterprises, export-oriented enterprises, leading enterprises and featured quality enterprises would be active in applying for the ratification of the PEOPs if they are ready.

It is reported that the ratification of the PEOPs is based on wider scope of conditions, including rule of origin, ecological products, intellectual property protection, environmental assessment, cleaner production, occupational health and safety, and social responsibility. Therefore, it is not easy to pass the ratification.
