Recently, entrusted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Science Technology Department of Zhejiang Province has caused experts to check and accept the national agricultural scientific and technological achievements transformation fund project undertaken by ShouXianGu Botanical Co., Ltd., i.e. “Application and Demonstration of Breeding, Ecological and Efficient Cultivation and Intensive Processing Technologies for Dendrobium Officinale New Varieties”.

After listening to reports, reviewing documents and carrying out inquiries and discussions, the panel agreed that the project had completed the tasks set out in the contract, and thus determined to accept it. 

Since the launch of this project in 2014, a total of more than RMB 5 million Yuan has been invested to optimize the tissue culture production line for dendrobium officinale seedling with an annual output of 2 million bottles of seedlings, standardize the organic cultivation mode and the whole standardized quality control system, and establish an ecological cultivation pattern of “edible & medicinal fungi - dendrobium officinale - Crocus Sativus and organic rice” with dendrobium officinale as the core.

Moreover, ShouXianGu has built a 100 mu standardized cultivation core demonstration base for a good and new variety “Xianhu 2”, passed domestic and European organic product certifications; developed 6 intensive processed series products like dendrobium officinale drinks; set 1 local standard and applied for 4 patents for invention. 

The sales of fresh dendrobium officinale reached 29,264 kilograms, generating total revenue of RMB 24.39 million Yuan. The implementation of the project has played a positive role in improving the transformation level of agricultural scientific and technological achievements, enhancing the scientific and technological innovation ability of agricultural enterprises, and promoting the development of modern agriculture, and achieved good social, economic and ecological benefits.
