Ganoderma lucidum, one of the nine immortal grasses in China and the “millennial treasure” in traditional Chinese medicine culture, is now popular in the United States. At the “2018 US-China International Collaborative Forum on TCM” held at the Pacific Palms Resort, Los Angeles on 4 November 2018, more than 100 political, TCM, business and overseas Chinese representatives from both China and the United States gathered together and witnessed the event that the ShouXianGu Botanical Co., Ltd. from Zhejiang, China signed a special technological research and cooperation agreement for the “Study on Immunity Enhancement, Tumor Inhibition and Other Functions and Safety of ShouXianGu’s Sporoderm-Broken and Sporoderm-Removal Ganoderma Lucidum Spore Powders” with University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and City Of Hope. 

The conclusion of the agreement means that ganoderma lucidum, which has been used as a medicine for about 2,000 years in China, steps onto a new stage in the world after it was officially included into the Pharmacopoeia of the People’s Republic of China in November 2000 and then the United States Pharmacopoeia as one of the first group of TCMs in November 2010. 

This “2018 US-China International Collaborative Forum on TCM” was reported to be co-sponsored by China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Beijing Pistis TCM International Service and American Nutritional Supplements & Medicines Association. 

At this forum, in-depth exchanges and discussions were carried out with respect to such themes as the pharmacological and clinical research of TCM products, protective utilization of natural medicinal resources, international development of TCM, FDA supervision and punishment on healthcare products, and clinical study of drugs in the United States, as well as the significance of third-party TCM detection and development of quantum TCM. On the same day, “China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine TCM (Healthcare Products) International Multi-center Cooperation USA Center” was established, and the Guide for Safety Use of TCMs and the Guide for Gene Detection Based Disease Prevention with TCMs and Healthcare Products to be undertaken by the USA Center were also launched. 

 In recent years, the Chinese government has positioned TCM development as a national strategy. As the first enterprise listed in the main board of Shanghai Stock Exchange in the industry of ganoderma lucidum and dendrobium officinale stem in China, ShouXianGu actively responds to the national strategic call of “Health China”, and attracts the attention of TCM experts and peers at home and abroad again with international advanced core technologies such as “Study on Intensive Processing, Breeding and Cultivation Techniques of Fine Varieties of Ganoderma Lucidum” and “Research and Development of New Sporoderm-Broken Technologies for Ganoderma Lucidum Spore Powder”, as well as its complete quality control over full TCM industry chain.
