To response to the call for “Accelerate Construction of Health China” proposed by the Party Central Committee headed by XI Jinping, attach, implement, fully deepen and carry out the thought of “Eight-Eight Strategy” proposed by Secretary General, Building Green Zhejiang was made as the key development strategy by Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province based on the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine resources in Zhejiang.

The traditional Chinese medicine industry was listed in top ten traditional industries by the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province.

“Summit Forum on Zhejiang Traditional Chinese Medicine High Quality Standardized Production Technology and Annual Academic Conference for Committee of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Natural Medicine” was successfully held in ShouXianGu Botanical Co., Ltd. on June 1. This was another grand gathering, holding in ShouXianGu, for Zhejiang traditional Chinese medicine industry development after “Famous Medicine Made in Zhejiang” Assisting Rural Revitalization and Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Cultural Festival held in ShouXianGu. 

Over 120 experts and scholars were to attend the Summit Forum, such as, YANG Subei, Vice-Chairman and Secretary-General of Zhejiang Pharmaceutical Association, WANG Zhian, Chairman of Committee of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Natural Medicine of Zhejiang Pharmaceutical Association and Director of Zhejiang Research Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, QIN Luping, Dean of College of Pharmaceutical Science of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University, WANG Yi, Vice-Chairman of Committee of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Natural Medicine of Zhejiang Pharmaceutical Association and Professor of College of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Zhejiang University, LU Saihua, Chairman of Jinhua Pharmaceutical Association and Deputy-Director General of Jinhua Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, Researcher  LI Mingyan, Chairman of ShouXianGu and other experts and scholars in different fields from provincial scientific research institutes, universities and colleges, institutes for food and drug control, hospitals and enterprises.

Leaders and experts made a concise exposition of the strategic plan on traditional Chinese medicine industry development and gave strong support to Zhejiang Traditional Chinese Medicine assisting the standardized production technology; Professors and researchers from Zhejiang Research Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zhejiang Chinese Medical University and traditional Chinese medicine enterprises shared their research and development experience on high-quality standardized production technology of traditional Chinese medicine, and exchanged and shared their professional and academic knowledge in the field of innovative medicine research.

Director WANG Zhian said: Accompany with the increase of peoples demand for higher living quality, people paid more attention to their own health and gradually deepened the awareness and acceptance of traditional Chinese medicine, and with the expansion of usage range of traditional Chinese medicine, nowadays, the traditional Chinese medicine industry has rapidly become one of the most promising industries in China’s health industry. To promote the continuous development of health industry, Zhejiang Traditional Chinese Medicine shall give full pay to the advantages and characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine industry based on the purpose of “Good shape, High quality, Good efficacy”. 

Professor LI Zhenhao, a staff of ShouXianGu Botanical Co., Ltd., made an in-depth analysis and comprehensive summary of Formulation and Study of Ganoderma Lucidum and Dendrobium Officinale Stem ISO International Standards. 

To promote learning and exchange, awards for excellent papers of traditional Chinese medicine were done at the meeting. SHAO Qingsong from Zhejiang A&F University, XIONG Yang from Zhejiang Chinese Medical University, ZHANG Zhongshan from Huzhou University, QI Yanfei from Zhejiang Institute for Food and Drug Control and other 7 outstanding professors and lecturers were also commended at the meeting.

We shall not only hold the bottle line of the quality and safety of traditional Chinese medicine, but also continue to make breakthrough based on such bottle line, to make new contributions to the development and expansion of Zhejiang traditional Chinese medicine and to persist in striving to achieve “Health China”.
