A Project Evaluation Meeting for Technical Specifications for Production and Processing of Ganoderma Lucidum Fruiting Body organized by National Technical Committee on Traditional Chinese Medicine Standardization of China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine was held in Beijing on March 1.
Totaling 26 people were to attend the meeting, with details as follows: FANG Shuting, Chairman of China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, LIU Zhanglin, Vice-chairman of such Association, and WANG Guihua, Secretary-General of China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and National Technical Committee on Traditional Chinese Medicine Standardization and staff, LIN Zhibin, Professor of Peking University Health Science Center, FENG Li, Vice-President and Chief Physician of Hebei Provincial Institute for Drug Control, XU Fei, Technical Director of Jilin Food and Drug Administration, WANG Xu, Chief Pharmacist of Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission, ZHANG Bengang, Researcher of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Institute of Medicinal Plant Development, ZHAO Runhuai, Technical Adviser of Medicinal Resources Industry and Director of Office of Medicinal Materials Traceability of China National Traditional Chinese Medicine Co., Ltd., LI Xiangri, Professor and Doctoral Tutor of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Researcher GUO Lanping, Deputy Director of National Resource Center for China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, Professor GAO Wenyuan, Director of Department of Natural Medicine of School of Materials Science and Engineering of Tianjin University, and FU Qiang, Associate Researcher of Standard Evaluation Department of China National Institute of Standardization, representing expert groups, and XU Jing, Deputy Secretary-General of Zhejiang Traditional Chinese Medicine Association and R&D Director of ShouXianGu, MA Shuangcheng and WEI Feng, Researchers of Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine Control of National Institutes for Food and Drug Control, MA Linke, Director of Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Zhejiang Institute for Food and Drug Control, ZHANG Jingsong, Director of Institute of Edible Fungi of Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences, SUN Tian, Manager of Tianfangjian (China) Pharmacy Company Ltd., and Doctor LI Zhenhao, Vice-general Manager WANG Hanbo, Technical Director CUI Yuhai, and Food R&D Department and Standardization Research Office’ Director HU Lingjuan of ShouXianGu Botanical Co., Ltd., representing research teams.

The meeting was presided over by WANG Guihua, the Secretary-General of China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and National Technical Committee on Traditional Chinese Medicine Standardization, and introduced the original intention and overview of the project. Meanwhile, commendation for the efforts made on the standard project by the research team headed by ShouXianGu was given at the meeting, especially the spirit of commitment ShouXianGu displayed in performing its corporate social responsibilities. 

XU Jing, Deputy Secretary-General of Zhejiang Traditional Chinese Medicine Association and R&D Director of ShouXianGu, made a detailed report regarding with the project background and significant on standard of Technical Specifications for Production and Processing of Ganoderma Lucidum.

A high praise was given to the research team by the panel headed by Professor LIN Zhibin, especially the project proposal covering all industrial chains of Ganoderma Lucidum. Such proposal was significant for setting and effective implementing Standard of Ganoderma Lucidum, and made important contributions to promoting Ganoderma Lucidum industry standardization and normalization and driving healthy and orderly development of Ganoderma Lucidum industry. Additionally, the experts attending the meeting gave constructive suggestions as to the standard research and development. 

Eventually, experts attending the meeting agreed that the project had a good research foundation and met national standardization work guidance and industry needs. The project was agreed to approve due to strong necessity and practicality.
